Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Filling:

1 lb ground chicken

2 tablespoons sesame oil

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

1 tablespoon fish sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon lime juice

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon sriracha (optional for spice)

For the Wraps & Toppings:

1 head butter lettuce or romaine lettuce, leaves separated and washed

½ cup shredded carrots

½ cup chopped green onions

¼ cup chopped roasted peanuts

Fresh cilantro leaves, chopped (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Cook the Chicken Filling:

Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.

Add ground chicken to the skillet and cook, stirring and breaking it into small pieces, until fully cooked and no longer pink.

Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, hoisin sauce, lime juice, honey, and sriracha. Mix until well combined and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the chicken absorbs the flavors.

Assemble the Lettuce Wraps:

Arrange clean lettuce leaves on a serving platter.

Fill each lettuce cup with a spoonful of the cooked Thai chicken mixture.

Top with shredded carrots, green onions, peanuts, and fresh cilantro.

Squeeze fresh lime juice over each wrap before serving for extra zest!

Notes

Make it Spicier: Add more sriracha or sprinkle red chili flakes for extra heat.

Vegan Swap: Substitute ground chicken with crumbled tofu or tempeh, and use soy sauce in place of fish sauce.

Meal Prep Friendly: Store the chicken mixture separately from the lettuce in airtight containers. Reheat the chicken and assemble wraps when ready to eat!

Best Lettuce Choices: Butter lettuce is soft and easy to fold, while romaine adds a crunchy bite.
