2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Steak:

1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp Cajun seasoning

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Alfredo Sauce:

2 tbsp unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp ground nutmeg

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

For the Pasta:

12 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta (or any pasta of your choice)

Salt for the pasta water

Instructions

Cook the Pasta:

Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water for later use.

Season the Shrimp:

In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Make sure the shrimp are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.

Cook the Shrimp:

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Steak:

Season the thinly sliced steak with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Cook the Steak:

In the same skillet, add the steak and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the steak is browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the shrimp.

Make the Alfredo Sauce:

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in the heavy cream, and bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir occasionally and let it cook for 3-4 minutes until it begins to thicken.

Lower the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Combine the Pasta and Sauce:

Add the cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce, tossing gently to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach your desired consistency.

Add the Shrimp and Steak:

Add the cooked shrimp and steak into the pasta, tossing to combine. Heat for an additional 2 minutes to ensure everything is warm.

Garnish and Serve:

Garnish with chopped parsley for a pop of color and extra flavor. Serve immediately and enjoy the creamy, spicy goodness of this Cajun-inspired dish!

Notes

Substitutions: You can use chicken instead of steak or shrimp, or substitute with tofu for a vegetarian version. Adjust the Cajun seasoning to suit your spice preference!

Spicy Tip: For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the Cajun seasoning.

Extra Creamy: If you prefer a richer sauce, feel free to add a little extra Parmesan or a splash of half-and-half to the Alfredo sauce.

Pasta Choices: While fettuccine or linguine works best for this dish, you can also use penne, rigatoni, or your favorite pasta shape.
