Ingredients

Scale

For the Croissant Dough (Shortcut Version):

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or store-bought croissant dough)

For the Filling:

8 slices deli ham (thinly sliced)

1 cup shredded Swiss or Gruyère cheese (or 4 slices, halved)

1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)

For the Topping:

1 tbsp melted butter

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp dried parsley (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough:
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. If using croissant dough, follow packaging instructions for shaping.

Assemble the Croissants:
Optional: Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each triangle.
Place a slice of ham and a bit of shredded cheese (or a cheese slice half) on the wider end of each triangle.
Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the point, tucking in the sides slightly as you go.

Top & Bake:
Place rolled croissants on the baking sheet, seam side down.
Brush each with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and dried parsley.
Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Cool & Serve:
Let cool for 2–3 minutes before serving. Best enjoyed warm!

Notes

Cheese Swap: Swiss, Gruyère, or cheddar all work well depending on your flavor preference.

Make-Ahead Tip: Assemble and refrigerate uncooked croissants for up to 8 hours. Bake fresh when ready to serve.

Customize: Add thinly sliced tomatoes or baby spinach for extra flavor.

Freezer-Friendly: Once baked and cooled, freeze individually and reheat in the oven or air fryer for a quick breakfast.
